AUGUST ELECTION DAY: Around 4,500 absentee ballots still have not been returned

Taylor voters should note that we are eight days away from the August 4 Primary Election.

The Clerk’s Office currently has over 4,500 absentee ballots still out that have not been returned.

Clerk Cindy Bower recommends that voters drop their ballots off in the drop box to ensure that they make the deadline, and to please make sure they sign the envelope. The drop box is located on the west side of City Hall, along Pine Street.

Ballots must be returned by 8 p.m. on election day in order to be counted.

If a voter requested their ballot more than a week ago, and has yet to receive it, please contact the Clerk’s Office immediately.

Voters who want to request a ballot, track the status of their ballot, view a sample ballot, and much more, can visit the Michigan Voter Information Center at, or contact the Clerk’s Office at 734-287-6550, Option 6.
