Bring a thick mat, wear loose clothes and don't eat two hours prior to class.

  2. Improving your Quality of Life: Palliative Care

    Dealing with symptoms of any serious illness is difficult, but special care is available to make these individuals more comfortable. Palliative care is comfort car received at the same time as curative treatments. Hospice of Michigan's presentation at the senior center will define palliative care, help you understand how you or your loved one may benefit from it and introduce you to Arbor Palliative Care, an in-home consultative palliative care service.

    Joe from JDFitness is the instructor. This class focuses on strengthening the muscles and tendons of the entire body to improve seniors' overall ability to perform and enjoy every day activities. Participants will learn, practice and perform a wide variety of exercise techniques utilizing free weights, resistance bands, isometrics and calisthenics. Working out with resistance of any kind will lead to stronger bones, better flexibility and increased strength that add yet another layer of well being into your life.
