The Taylor Animal Shelter provides many services, such as animal adoptions, lost and found animals, licensing, animal rescue within the city and responding to the complaints of residents regarding neglected and loose animals. The state-of-the-art shelter facility is located on Northline Road between the Department of Public Works Building and Lakes of Taylor Golf Club. If you are in search of a pet, consider adoption from the Taylor Animal Shelter, as many nice pets are available throughout the year. Some of the cats and dogs that are not adopted out of the shelter are displayed at Petsmart on Eureka Road in Taylor. The adoption fee is $10 for dogs and cats. There is a $25 deposit for sterilization.

Pet Adoption Day, Saturday, May 22nd, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., at the Taylor Animal Shelter, 25555 Northline.  Taylor Veterinary Clinic will offer discount vaccinations for dogs and cats.  Licensing, live obedience demonstrations, pet care information and brochures will also be available.
