The Junior League Baseball World Series continues at Heritage Park. Every game is a big game with eight of the 12 teams left in contention for the world championship of the 13- and 14-year-old division of Little League Baseball. Four more games are scheduled for today at World Series Field on the campus of the Taylor South Little League in Heritage Park.
11 AM - Europe-Africa champions (South Czech Republic Little League, Brno, Czech Republic) vs. the Mexico national champions (Santa Maria De Aguayo Little League in Ciudad Victoria, Tamaulipas, Mexico)
2 PM - The Michigan District 5 champions from the Taylor North Little League vs. the USA Southeast champions (Loudoun South Little League, South Riding, Virginia)
5 PM - The Asia-Pacific champions (Chung Shan Junior Little League, Chinese Taipei) vs. the Latin America champions from the Pabao Little League (Willemstad, Curacao)
8 PM - The USA East champions (Keystone Little League, Clinton County, Pennsylvania) vs. the USA Southwest champions (Oil Belt Little League, Corpus Christi, Texas)
Taylor's Heritage Park is located at 12111 Pardee Road. Admission is $5 per carload per day or $15 for the entire week. Parking is included.
The World Series operates on a modified double-elimination format. Teams that lose twice are eliminated from contention. Four of the 12 qualifying teams have been eliminated: Australia, Wisconsin, Canada and Hawaii. Two more will be eliminated today.
Games continue at 4 PM and 7 PM on Thursday. The International championship game is scheduled for 3 PM on Friday, followed by the USA championship game at 6 PM.
The International and USA champions play for the world championship at noon on Sunday.
Weekday games are broadcast on ESPN Plus. Sunday's game will be broadcast on ESPN2. Results are posted on the Junior League World Series website.
