Taylor Community Library releases new mobile app

Taylor Community Library is making it even easier to use the library from home with their new mobile app. Your favorite books, movies, and more are only a tap away.

The app allows users to:

  • Find and reserve items from over 60 different area libraries
  • Renew items that are currently checked out
  • Check out items directly on your phone without needing to visit the front desk
  • Search for library events
  • Contact the library
  • Find updated hours
  • Receive helpful notifications regarding service updates

Library staff partnered with Capira Technologies, LLC to create this customized mobile application and test with community members. “The feedback has been overwhelmingly positive,” states Assistant Director, Shauna Anderson. “Patrons love how simple it is to request books and keep on top of their checkouts. While the library building is currently closed for browsing, this makes it a lot easier to find and reserve what you want.”

Taylor Community Library’s app is available for free on the App Store and Google Play.  Users who rate or review the app online from now until October 31, 2020 will be entered into a raffle for fun library swag.

Taylor Community Library is currently closed for browsing, but the library offers both curbside pickup and home delivery.  A socially-distanced computer lab is also available by appointment.  Details for these services and more are available online at the library’s website:
