[ARCHIVED] Beaumont offers free workshops

Beaumont Health has partnered with the National Kidney Foundation of Michigan to host multiple free, six-week workshops across Southeast Michigan to help adults with type 2 diabetes improve their overall health and have increased energy. Family members and caregivers are also welcome to attend.

Managing diabetes can present challenges to daily living, and making changes can be tough. Diabetes PATH is a fun, interactive workshop conducted by two trained leaders—at least one has diabetes—who run small group discussions and provide user-friendly course materials.

The Diabetes Personal Action Toward Health, or PATH, classes will be offered at multiple locations from now through October. Locations and dates include:
PATH at Taylor Public Library, 12303 Pardee Road, Taylor, MI 48180
Aug. 4 - Sept. 8, Thursdays from 1:30-4 p.m.
PATH at Troy Public Library, 510 W. Big Beaver Road, Troy, MI 48084
Aug. 9 - Sept. 13, Tuesdays from 1:30-4 p.m.
PATH at Harper Woods Public Library, 19601 Harper Ave., Harper Woods, MI 48225
Sept. 13 - Oct. 25, Tuesdays from 1 -3:30 p.m.
PATH at Hunter Community Center, 509 Fisher Court, Clawson, MI 48017
Sept. 14 – Oct. 26, Wednesdays from 6–8:30 p.m.
