The Taylor Police Department is accepting applications for the 2016 Youth Police Academy through July 30. The academy is scheduled for 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. during the week of August 15.
Space is limited. The opportunity is open for qualified young men and women entering the ninth, 10th, 11th or 12th grade. Priority will be given to juniors and seniors. The academy is free. You do not have to be a resident of the City of Taylor.
The curriculum includes educational and hands-on activities.
